That time of year is upon us again - Popcorn Sales. Each year we sell popcorn to raise money to fund the Pack. This year we need to sell around $20,0000 worth of popcorn. If we can do this we should fund our program year.
Each boy should go to Mr. Brownfield's house and pick up their allotment of popcorn. There are 15 items to sell and orders can be taken for additional popcorn. He also has some inventory at his house if you sell someting but do not have it on hand. Each boy will recieve a portion of their total sales credited to their Scout accounts. This money can be used to purchace items on the Approved Purchases list, this includes camp fees.
We also have Show and Sell dates. These are two hour blocks at either Hy-vee or Wal-Mart, the boys sit in front of the store and attampt to sell the popcorn (a parent must be present). The boys taking part in the Show and Sells are credited extra money to their Scout Accounts. All Show and Sell totals will also be added to the boys total sales and just might bump them up to the next Prize level.
Boys selling more than $400 in popcorn get to throw a whipped cream pie in the face of any of the adult leaders.
We are in need of a Den popcorn Kernel. This adult will collect all of the Dens popcorn money and turn it in to Mr. Brownfield our Pack Kernel. The Popcorn Kernel is responsible for collecting money only. All popcorn returned must be returned to Mr. Brownfield by the boy/family.
If you have not already picked up your popcorn, please do so soon.
Good Luck
